The woven aluminum wire brocade is completely intact, showing only slight wear and age toning. They are backed with velvet, which retains its original surface with a smooth nap. The metal fittings are made of zinc. The end of the hangers that would be affixed to a uniform features a D.R.G.M. marked fitting for attachment to a spring clip. The brocade and velvet hangers are fastened to this using deluxe metal fittings, riveted in place, with stamped oak leaf ornamentation; these are also D.R.G.M. marked indicating a Reich protected design. At the other end of the hangers, the buckles and the D.R.G.M. marked spring clips are intact and functional, with intricate detail intact.
