German Single-Etched Long Bayonet from World War II by Carl Eickhorn.

This bayonet features an excellent handle with 100% intact original nickel plating, showing minimal signs of wear. The wear is hardly noticeable on either the front or back, preserving its overall condition. The push-button release and locking mechanism function perfectly, and there is a piece of red felt inside the rifle slot. The grip plates are in outstanding condition, displaying a fine black checkered surface and secured by steel rivets. The scabbard remains straight, with its original paint largely intact, though there are some small spots on the reverse side. The scabbard is equipped with a leather frog and a portepee. The long blade is in pristine condition, with a smooth reverse side. The obverse of the blade features an etched design with a double ribbon surrounded by oak leaves. The ribbon contains a standard remembrance inscription, flanked on either side by Wehrmacht eagles clutching swastikas. The reverse ricasso bears the iconic 1935-41 "Eickhorn" squirrel logo.

This is an excellent addition to any collection and a rare find for enthusiasts.
