For sale is a rare 1933 pattern SS dagger by Ed. Gembruch, Solingen, a highly sought-after maker. The dagger is in very good to excellent condition.
The ebony grip is in superb shape, free of any cracks or splits, and fits perfectly with the solid nickel-silver upper and lower cross guards.
The blade retains 98% of its original polish and cross-grain, with no pitting or blemishes. The motto remains sharp and well-defined, while the reverse side bears the distinctive Ed. Gembruch fish trademark and company name.
The scabbard features an anodised finish, though some thinning is evident due to age and polishing. The scabbard mounts are in excellent condition, and the bottom ball is free from major dents.
