War merit cross 1st class with swords by Carl Poellath, Schrobenhausen. Massive tombak construction with soldered on set up. Maker marked on the reverse of the needle with the PK code of Carl Poellath "84". Very good condition with small signs of age. Complete cross is nicely patinated. The cross comes in its original black box with an image of a cross with a swastika on the front. Such boxes are extremely rare.
